provisions of Articles 5 and 10 were still under
consideration by His Majesty's Government and that a
final decision as regards the whole draft must be
delayed until the new Governor had arrived and had
time to consider the position and report.
Mr. Paskin mentioned the Chinese Assocation's
request to be allowed to see the amended draft and
Sir C. Clementi's des patch covering it. Hong Kong
had been asked if they saw any objection to it. It
was agreed that subject to the terms of the Hong
Kong reply, the Association might be handed a copy
of the Agreement and informed of the substance of
Sirċ Clementi's despatch.
